I have the honor respectfully to ask your Lordshep to be pleased to grant an extension of my Leave of Absence from Hong Kong on halfsalary
On the 18th of December last Dr Dods the then acting Colonial Surgeon certified that I required complete rest from the Chief Justice of duties of my Office as Hong Kong for not less than six months and His Excellency the Governor on the 6th of January granted such leave to Commence on the 11th of January last and of July next to expire on the 10
As I read the Colonial Regulations I am at liberty to act for a period of absence from the Colony on half pay for ten month
I sabunt that of the 4 months and 14 second absence days the penod of my 1869 from the Colony 14 days only should have been deducted from my resident Service
